Excalidraw is a great fit for small teams who need a simple, no-fuss whiteboard for brainstorming, planning, or mapping out ideas without a steep learning curve. The completely free version is surprisingly capable, and the hand-drawn style keeps things casual and fast — perfect for quick sketches over polished diagrams. The main downside is that it's pretty basic compared to tools like Miro or Lucidchart, so if you need advanced diagramming or lots of templates, you may outgrow it quickly.
