STOA's verdictFor builders
Best developer experience with genuinely faster performance.
Excellent for new web apps if your developer is comfortable outside the React mainstream. Smaller ecosystem is the main trade-off.
For builders · not rated for ownersWhy no rating
Svelte needs a developer to set up and use, so we don't give it an owner rating. Here is how each factor looks for a small team that has a developer.
- SMB Fit
For a team with a developer, Svelte is free and open source under the MIT license, so there is no license cost to adopt it.svelte.dev (source, opens in a new tab)
- Ease of Use
Built for teams with a developer: Svelte compiles concise components written in plain HTML, CSS, and JavaScript, but you still need a developer to build anything with it.
