MiniMax Hub is a free desktop app for Mac and Windows that puts a crew of AI agents — handling script, images, video, audio, and editing — into a single canvas. You describe your creative brief, agents break it down, pick the right models, and generate everything together. Your assets stay local on your machine, and you export one-click to pro editing tools like DaVinci Resolve or Premiere.

Strengths

Local-first means your assets stay on your machine — no cloud upload required
Full production pipeline (script to final export) in one app, no tool-switching
Reusable Skills system means each project makes you faster on the next one

Weaknesses

Desktop-only (Mac/Windows) — no web version or mobile access
New app from a Chinese AI company (MiniMax); output quality and model performance still being established in Western markets
No published pricing details — unclear what the paid tier includes or costs

Key features

Build full-production content — script, images, video, audio, and editing — in one local canvas
AI agents decompose your brief, select models automatically, and run tasks in parallel
Save custom Skills that capture your style and reuse them across every project
Access local files directly and export one-click to professional editing software

AI features

Multi-agent pipeline handles script writing, image generation, video generation, audio and voiceover, and editing; automatic model selection; Skills Market for reusable AI workflows; multi-round quality checks via Agent + Harness

STOA verdict

MiniMax Hub offers a genuinely different take on AI creative tools — a local agent workstation instead of another browser tab. The full-pipeline canvas is compelling for small video and ad teams. Worth trying on the free tier; just be aware it's a new desktop app from a company still building its reputation outside China.
