What it does

Calcapp is a no-code app builder that turns your spreadsheet skills into working web apps. If you can write Excel formulas, you can build calculator apps, quote generators, order forms, and data collection tools — no programming needed. Your apps work offline and run on any device. The platform supports 400+ Excel-like functions and generates PDF and CSV reports directly from your app data. Apps can be embedded in existing websites or shared as standalone links. The free plan gives unlimited access to the app designer. Paid plans start at $10/month.

Weaknesses

May feel restrictive as your business needs grow

STOA verdict

Calcapp is a great fit for small business owners who already live in spreadsheets and need to turn those calculations into something clients or staff can actually use — like a quote tool or order form. The ability to build real apps using Excel-style formulas without hiring a developer is genuinely useful, and $10/month is a fair price. The downside is that it's a narrow tool — if you need databases, user logins, or complex workflows, you'll hit its limits fast.
